About this site

Clear information, with the limits made visible

AussieVisa Toolkit is an independent educational website for people researching Australian skilled migration. It is not a government service, law firm or registered migration agency.

What we provide

  • • Plain-English guides to subclasses 189, 190 and 491.
  • • An estimator for the skilled migration points test.
  • • Checklists that help readers locate and organise official evidence.
  • • Direct links to current government and assessing-authority sources.

What we do not provide

We do not assess individual eligibility, recommend a visa, prepare applications, represent applicants or guarantee invitations, nominations or grants.

Editorial standards

Published-guide review date: 24 August 2026.

Official sources first

We use Department of Home Affairs pages, legislation and official assessing-authority material for rules that can affect eligibility.

No outcome promises

A points score, past invitation round or state criterion is not a prediction. We separate minimum eligibility from invitation and nomination decisions.

Volatile figures stay live

Visa charges and processing times change. We direct readers to the live government estimator instead of presenting old figures as current.

Corrections are welcome

When an official source changes or a reader identifies an error, we review the source, correct the page and update its review notice.

Funding and editorial independence

Most tools and guides are free. The site offers one optional paid planning toolkit through a Stripe-hosted payment page and may display clearly identified advertising in the future. Payment or advertising does not change visa rules, calculator results or editorial conclusions.

Report a correction

Include the page URL, the statement you believe is incorrect and an official source if available. Do not send passports, health records, financial records or visa application documents.
