There is no universally “best” skilled visa
Subclass 189, 190 and 491 are different legal pathways, not difficulty levels. The useful question is which pathways you are currently eligible for and which obligations you can meet.

Start with four filters
- Occupation: confirm the current occupation-list and assessing-authority rules.
- Points: calculate only points you can document at the relevant time.
- Nomination: check live jurisdiction criteria; federal visa eligibility does not create state eligibility.
- Obligations: understand regional and nomination commitments before selecting a pathway.
Do not rank pathways by “success rate”
A nomination points bonus does not prove that one visa has a higher success rate. Invitations and nominations depend on current allocations, occupations and jurisdiction priorities. Past rounds can provide context, but they do not promise the next result.
